Feliz Navidad

Behind an innocent face and a caring smile there are the moments that truly define us. Even thought caring for a little one is tiring here is my mother caring for my sister like the first time she laid eyes on her.

I’m part of a family where we don’t celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas but Noche Buena and Navidad. Our group of friends gets together and we do novenas. We don’t go around caroling but we sing gozos. We share laughs and stories for the books. We celebrate every single birthday, every single anniversary and every single accomplishment. We found each other and have stuck together; it’s something stronger than family ties. Like the saying goes “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.”

It’s not a party if everyone doesn’t consume their own weight in alcohol.
I can’t keep myself from photographing this munchkin every time i have my camera in hand.
This adoptive family all mashed up together.
it’s custom for the host to say a few words and pray before passing out the food on Christmas Eve.
