This past week i was privileged to enjoy a documentary on the life of Dorothea Lange in my Global Perspectives class and just a few days prior my Journalism teacher had assigned us to go outside and photograph things from our perspective, showcasing them for what they were to us. I thought these two coincidences fit quite nicely and i have to say i have learned a lot about photography from both. Dorothea was always mesmerized by photography since before she owned a camera and throughout her experiences in life she learned how to appreciated the little details in every occasion, in every encounter, in every object she passed by. Through her photography she showed the world the true circumstances of the calamity in the Western coast and now she has inspired me. I have a newly found interest for photography and we will see what comes of that in the very near future. Until then….
